Wikipedia sources: Israel Gershoni's Colonial Propaganda Masquerading as "Evidence": attempts to downplay widespread Nazi sympathies in Arab Palestine

Israel Gershoni's Colonial Propaganda Masquerading as "Evidence." More on the push by Achcar (who, outrageously, compared genocidal Palestinian Oct 7 onslaught to the 1943 Warsaw Uprising) and Gershoni attempts to downplay widespread Nazi sympathies in Arab Palestine. Gershoni’s use of Arabic newspapers from the Second World War period as reliable evidence is methodologically worthless. These newspapers, during the WWII, did not operate under conditions of press freedom, but under a strict British wartime censorship regime that monitored, edited, suppressed, and directed political reporting in Mandatory Palestine. As British records show, and as laid out by Mustafa Kabha and David Sharfman, the wartime press functioned under extensive colonial supervision, where publication was conditioned by political control and security considerations rather than independent journalism. Sharfman demonstrates that wartime censorship formed an integral part of British propaganda and inte...

Mustafa Abbasi’s WWII Narrative Collapses Under the Historical Record

Mustafa Abbasi’s WWII Narrative Collapses Under the Historical Record. Re fake title on JSTOR. Fact: Arab Palestinians NOT against fascism Mustafa Abbasi’s thesis attempts to recast the history of Palestinian Arab involvement in World War II into a story of broad anti-Nazi commitment and shared Arab-Jewish resistance. The historical record does not support that conclusion. Yes, thousands of Palestinian Arabs enlisted in the British Army during WWII. That fact is real and documented. But Abbasi’s interpretation of what that enlistment meant politically and socially collapses under scrutiny. The first problem is scale. Jewish enlistment dwarfed Arab enlistment. Roughly 27,000–30,000 Jews from Mandatory Palestine volunteered for British service, while Arab recruitment figures ranged closer to 9,000–12,000. Jews volunteered at roughly three times the Arab rate despite being a demographic minority. In 1940, Jews constituted only about 31.2% of Mandatory Palestine’s settled population, while...

BBC News America's anchor advocates for Hamas and even tries the Pallyweid drama language but for once, is pushed back

Image
Caitríona Perry anchoring BBC News America, May 29, 2025.  Perry advocates for Hamas and tries the Pallyweid drama language but for once, is pushed back.  She begins with repeating what "Hamas official" argues why they can't agree to ceasefire Netanyahu agreed to [beacuse they want a guarantee of not resuming the war after 60 days], presents them as of equal and normal side in the war.  She interviews David Satterfield of the Baker Institute. She asks Satterfield about UN objecting the US/Israel GHF and his opinion about it. He replies that we should encourage any food entering. [She misses the point of playing politics while they all say, the situation there is desperate].  Then the BBC anchor tries something else. She plays the rhetoric and hyperbolic terminology (such as the G word) to see maybe he will budge. And asks if the US can force Netanyahu... But Satterfield tells her "let's remind your listeners" whose fault it is there's no ceasefire...

Oh, look, discredited Feroze Sidhwa gives "testimony" at UN, no less.

Image
Feroze Sidhwa, a long timer anti-Israel activist, at least since 2005, poses today at UN as some kind of "objective" opinion to rail against Israel via statements he claims to have "seen" in Gaza and happily interviewed by BBC.  Here is a June 2005 screenshot of Sidhwa propaganda at the infamous E.I. - Ali Abunimah blog.     In his hit piece in NYT in Oct. 2024 , already shredded online for his falsehood, he replied with another lie, denying Hamas uses civilians.  "New York Times Guest Essay Shredded Online After Claiming IDF Targets Gazan Children." Channa Rifkin. Honest Reporting October 13, 2024. ...But it’s the response of the article’s author, Dr. Feroze Sidhwa, that really puts a nail in the coffin of this piece’s legitimacy. The author of the NYT piece weighs in, and it’s exactly what you’d expect [pic.twitter.com/BFe4qK9cro] — Eitan Fischberger (@EFischberger) October 13, 2024.  To deny that Hamas use civilians as human shields and claim Israe...

Guess who's the infamous bigot creating pages: "ongoing nakba[sic]" and a so-called "nakba denial[sic]"; and based on what 'sources'?

Image
The troll on wikipedia, recently: Anti Jewish hater TFP 'Tech for Palestine' "iskandar323" even messed with a simple Jewish Sabbath dish. [After some edit about a great Mosque...]. [2025-03-20] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cholent&diff=prev&oldid=1278482904 Because you know: "free Palestine" whatever. He is the one creating the page: "Ongoing Nakba[sic]" [2022-12-19] And [2023-10-20] creating the page "nakba denial]sic" to play on / and dininish 'Holocaust denial'. [ https://xtools.wmcloud.org/pages/en.wikipedia.org/Iskandar323 ] And more infamous for leading the campaign to ban ADL in 2024. Antisemitism is a disease .  Islandar323 began the 'ongoing nakba[sic]' page based on: Joseph Massad, Elias Khouri and Hannan Ashrawi, all three known for dirty bigotry. He even mentioned the infamous hatefest 2001 Durban, as if it "adds" credibility.  DURBAN 2001 : UN Watch at the 2001 Durban Conferen...

UN's Tom Fletcher [the "14,000 babies" lie producer] tells Amanpour: "We don't think it's Hamas doing that looting."

Image
"Objective" United Nations: Tom Fletcher [the "14,000 babies" lie producer] tells propagandist/journalist Amanpour (5.22.25): "We don't think it's Hamas doing that looting." Ponder: 1. Does that mean, the UN, UNRWA always knows who is Hamas? How is that not a guilty charge on the UNRWA, again? 2. Is he as "free" to say, just as journalists recently reported of being threatened as reported by International Press Centre (IPC). ["Watchdog: Gazan reporters ‘intimidated, threatened, assaulted by Hamas’". TOI. 5.16.25]? 3. Both?
